SPOT, César Espada, 2013, 90 min

/ Synopsis / Daniel, is a young American actor who is hopelessly in love   and hopelessly   manipulated by his girlfriend Natalia. Their break-up pushes Daniel to the edge, and he   performs the unthinkable with a bottle of Vanish stain remover in a youtube video for   all the world to see. A flashback reveals the circumstances that took Daniel to breaking   point via what is all at once an engrossing, disturbing and twistedly comedic story.

Nominated Maverick Movie Awards 2013: Best Movie, Script, Director, Actress (Natalia   Miranda) and Production Design.

¡Buenos días! 

On Thursday 25th June, 6.30pm, we are screening ’30 años de oscuridad’ (2012), an animated documentary by director and producer Manuel H. Martín.

It tells the story of Manuel Cortés, the Socialist mayor of Mijas (Málaga) before the beginning of the Spanish Civil War, who in 1939 returns to his home and is forced to stay in hiding for 30 years, becoming a ‘post-war mole’.

Shortlisted for the 2012 Goya Awards for Best Documentary Film.

Language: Spanish with English Subtitles. Free admission.
